Meeting Minutes for January , 2026
 
CALL CQ  -.-.  --.-  THAT’s WHAT WE DO!
 
The meeting of the East Tennessee DX Association (ETDXA) was held on Jan 17, 2026.    Our President Tim Berarducci, AJ4HW, called the meeting to order at 11:20 hours. This was our first meeting in the new day/time slot, and everything went perfect.
 
Attendance:
We had 15 in attendance and no one on zoom.
 
Health and Welfare:     Bob (K9JU) is in the hospital and could use our prayers.                                                                     
 
Old Business: None
 
Treasurer’s Report:   The were no expenditures or income last month. Tim mentioned that the club has about $400.00 in recuring bills each year for the web page and Zoom.
 
New Business:            There was a motion to change club dues from $35-$40 to $30-$35. After much discussion a vote was taken, and it was decided that for now the club dues would remain the same at $35 for a single, $40 for a family
 
            Burt made a motion that because of all the work the president of the club must do, he should not have to pay dues. Just a small club thank you. While Tim, our president, did not like the idea, a vote was taken and it was unanimous, and he is now exempt from paying dues while president.
 
            Some of the members started paying their dues. We would like to thank those who paid additional money above their dues. Their generosity did not go unnoticed and is much appreciated.
 
DX Report: Burt passed around a listing of the current DXpeditions for everyone to look at.
 
               Tim suggested we make a $100 donation to the KP5 DXpeditions. One of the members mentioned that he had tried to make a personal donation and was told they would not accept it. Burt said he would investigate it.
 
 
Hamfest:  It was suggested that we set up a ‘For Sale’ table in addition to a ‘Information’ table at the RACK hamfest. We would accept donations from our members of unwanted, but serviceable, items and put them up for sale. The money could then be used for further donations to DXpeditions.
 
Program: An interesting video on ‘Grounding & Bonding’ was shown.
 
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1145 hours.
